Here’s what the Coaches are telling us about their recruiting process.

Clemson University – Coach See

Coach See has been a pitching coach most recently for Ohio University and Duke before heading to Clemson.

Columbia University – Coach Borreti

Coach Borreti is credited with revitalizing the Columbia Baseball program in every aspect, building the Lions into a perennial Ivy League contender. 

Dallas Baptist – Coach Heefner

Coach Heefner was named one of 2013’s Top 10 Coaches in College Baseball under the age of 40 by Baseball America. He has guided the DBU Baseball program to the NCAA postseason seven of the last eight years.

Florida State University – Coach Martin

Hall of Fame Coach Mike Martin retired at the close of the 2019 season with  2,028 career wins – the most of any coach is college baseball history. (More here about the 2019 Coach of the Year.)

Furman University – Coach Smith

Some great advice from Coach Ron Smith at the time he was D1 head coach at Furman on how high school ballplayers should go about selecting the colleges for their target list. 

University of Kansas – Coach Price

Kansas Head Baseball Coach Price gives us a detailed rundown on a normal day for a D1 baseball player at Kansas.

Michigan State – Coach Boss

Coach Boss has guided the Spartans to 30-win seasons in seven of the last ten years. 

Penn State – Coach Cooper

In addition to his role as head coach at Penn State, Coach Cooper has been part of the coaching staff for the USA College National teams and as the head coach of USA Baseball’s 18U National Team at the IBAF World Cup. He steered Team USA to an 8-1 record in World Cup play, including seven consecutive victories to win the gold medal.

Seattle University – Coach Herral

Coach Herral talk about how attitude and self-motivation cause a player to stand out for the Seattle recruiting team. 

SUNY Stony Brook – Coach Marron

Coach Marron, pitching coach for the Seawolves, talks about the way he teaches different pitches to players in their program. 

UCLA Head Coach – John Savage

Under Coach Savage, the UCLA Bruins have been a consistent national championship contender, winning their first-ever NCAA baseball title in 2013. Under his guidance, UCLA has advanced to the postseason in 11 of the last 15 seasons. Here, Coach Savage talks baseball and talent.

University of Cincinnati – Coach Heilmann

Assistant Coach Heilmann is regarded as one of the top pitching coaches in college baseball. He talks here about the value in playing multiple sports. 

University of Illinois – Coach Hartleb

Under Hartleb, Illinois has had one of its best eras ever, winning 61.9 percent of its games over the last five years (166-102-1). Every Illini that has played four years for Hartleb has left with a winning percentage of .500 or better.

University of Louisville – Coach McDonnel

Louisville is regularly ranked as a Top 25 team. Here, Coach McDonnell shares some priceless insight into how you can stand out to him and his coaching staff, what it takes to be a great ballplayer and the hardest adjustment for HS players transitioning to college baseball.

Kansas State – Coach Hughes

Pete Hughes is the head coach of the Kansas State Wildcats. Previously he served as the head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Virginia Tech Hokies baseball teams. We caught up with him while at Oklahoma to talk about what he looks for in a prospect.

University of Virginia – Coach Kirby
